This Project focuses on utilization of mental health services among young people (10-24 years) In Uganda. This mixed methods research is currently being undertaken and will run up to 2028

Through this initiative we are partnering with community-led organizations to strengthen their own capacity to contribute to research, generate meaningful learning and evaluate outcomes of community initiatives. This project will focus on how community contexts shape individual own capacities to identify drivers of adversity and generate local solutions.

We explore the health Impact of early Life adversity on health, social and educational outcomes among young adults. Through the Athari innovations, partner with local communities to identify local interventions to ensure children are safe at home, school and their communities.

This proof of concept study pilots the use of local structures to support low cost, timely and quality data to support surveillance, reporting and action to stop VAC/W

Our ongoing partnership with research and practitioner communities that supports co-development, co-creation, co-testing of innovations and methodologies. This is an open, collaborative space to translational researchers, knowledge developers and end users to test new ideas and challenge traditional knowledge. We are working with a network of evaluators and practitioners in education, health and social development to generate local solutions to address common community challenges

Athari Evaluation Hub is supporting the department of early childhood education and pre-primary education at Kyambogo university to evaluate their ECCE workforce program. The ECCE workforce is a three-year capacity strengthening program implemented in 12 teacher training colleges in Uganda. This endline evaluation involves qualitative interviews with selected key stakeholders, tracing of graduates, interviews with current trainees and an organizational assessment. This program is directly aligned with the National Development Plan IV, ECE Policy & Uganda Vision 2040.
